You Capture- Winter

I have a confession to make- my camera & I haven't been best of friends for some time now.

Sure I've picked it up to take my photo assignments for photography school, but other then that it's sat on the shelf collecting dust. Somewhere between reading about f-stops and nude portrait photography I lost my creative mojo. I lost the desire to take photos just for me.

But last week, after shoveling for the 10,000,000 time, I grabbed my camera ( told her I was sorry for taking her out in the freezing cold) and took some pictures just for me. And you know something......... it felt good.

Been Awhile

It's been way to long since I posted anything on my photography blog..... my bad.

Lets see I passed my first photography test ! And while my photos didn't bomb I do need some improvements. Nothing huge, I knew when I sent them off the problems they had. The main one being that I really need to start lugging my tripod/monopod with me when I'm out taking pictures. I know this.... it's just remembering to do it lol .

I'll post the pictures I sent in soon, they are not on my computer anymore and I'm just too lazy today to drag out my photo drive.

I got my press pass a few weeks ago. Now I just need to find a event to use it.

I think that's about it for a update here. I promise I will be more active in the coming months. I've just been so busy with school work that most days I don't feel like posting here at all.

You Capture - Food

I haven't done many of the You Capture challenges this summer, mostly due to the kids being home. They started school last week and while I was catching up on my most loved blogs, I saw that this week challenge was to capture food.

Food- A subject near and dear to my heart.

I could write a novel about what cooking means to me, but I'm sure that would bore you all to death. So instead I will just share my photos from this Tuesdays meals.

Homemade meatballs in homemade tomato sauce- yum!

Some homemade cheese/garlic bread ready for the oven. I didn't get a chance to take an after photo because it didn't last long .
